Study Team
This study is being conducted by the Connecticut Department of Transportation. A consulting team, listed below, is carrying out the various work tasks. The study team will be informed and assisted by a Study Advisory Committee (SAC).
Consulting Team:
- Parsons – Study management and participation in all tasks
- Fitzgerald & Halliday, Inc. – Public outreach, environmental overview, surveys, and rail operations assistance
- Systra – Rail operations
- URS – Demand (ridership) analysis, land use and base mapping
Study Advisory Committee:
The Study Advisory Committee (SAC) will meet four times at strategic intervals to learn of preliminary findings and provide input to the study team. The SAC will include representatives of state, regional and local agencies as well as organizations or groups with a special interest in the transportation system in the Waterbury and New Canaan Branch line corridors.
Public:
Current and potential users of the Waterbury and New Canaan rail lines and roadways in these corridors are critical participants in this planning study. Opportunities for participation include attending Study Advisory Committee (SAC) meetings and public meetings, providing input through this website, and responding to information requests/surveys.
